Brain
Blitz
Here is a simple technique
for creating ideas that individuals can use by themselves. It's called
the BRAIN BLITZ.
- Get some 3 x 5 index cards.
For each idea you want to create start a 'set' of index cards.
- Write down the title of
the idea and some of the basic things you now know about the subject.
- Take several 10 to 20 minute
periods a day to intently focus on the subject and come up with thoughts.
Write down each new thought on the index cards. Try not come to any
conclusions. This is important.
- Add to the cards for two
or three days, several times a day. Work hard for the 10 to 20 minutes,
even if you have to force yourself.
- Put the cards away and forget
about the idea for a couple of days, like a weekend or short vacation.
It's important to do this step.
- Go back to the cards and
focus on what you have written. Look for the conclusion at this time.
Staying focused should produce some new insight from your sub-conscious
mind. The rest period is critical. It gives your sub-conscious a chance
to 'integrate' the information you came up with.
Tip: Push yourself during
the daily 10 to 20 periods of focus, but make sure you take several days
off but, don't take more than a week off at the longest.
This is a powerful technique that almost always works if you stay focused,
postpone conclusions, and take the time off.
